We ask some questions to our FIVB coach Olga Troshina about her experience during the last FIVB seminar in Cyprus.

What is it a FIVB certificate?
Olga:
FIVB certificate is an official document that gives your a permission to coach everywhere in the World as a Beach Volleyball coach.
FIVB certificate is delivered by International Federation of Beach Volleyball.

How did you figured out about FIVB Beach Volleyball courses in Cyprus?
Olga:
Today, you will not find a lot of information about the upcoming FIVB courses on social media or Internet, if you're not from a Beach Volleyball community. I recommend to check the uprcoming dates on the official FIVB web site.
Myself, I had a chance to hear about this course from one of my friend from London.

Tell us more about the course?
Olga:
Well, we had an online course to do, and we had 5 days of theoretical and practical lessons.
The typical day starts from 8:30 until 12:30 and from 13:30 to 19:30.

theoretical part is similar to a usual university lesson with some discuss and the practical part is on the court. We had to observe players and coaches while training, to make some notes and to discuss it after with a group.
Some of us had chance to demonstrate a Beach Volleyball training for the amateur players which was fun..

To Whom you would recommend this course?
Olga:
I would defenetly not recommend this course to a completely beginners in Beach Volleyball. In my opinion, its good to know the basic of this game and to have a different experience in coaching amateurs, kids maybe Pro teams.
What about the registration fees for this course?
Well, it depends on every federation, sometimes is high, sometimes its lower.
It starts from 350 euros plus accomandation and food and flight tickets.

Whats new this course has bring to you?
Olga:
First of all, this course made me meet a lot of coaches from all over the Europe. Secondly, we had different a great practical part from the head coach of National team of Cyprus. Morefor, we had Athanasios Papageorgiou for the teoretical part (the autour of Handbook of Beach Volleyball)
